Ron Tiller
Ron Tiller has been the anchor of Swift Kik since the beginning of the band and is the only original member that has remained with the band since it’s inception.
Ron was born March 23rd. He started playing guitar around 12 or 13 and began playing in garage bands. By this time he had started taking lessons from Stan Wilson at Bowman Music in St. Joe.
At 14 Ron's family moved to Troy, KS and formed Justice with some school friends. Justice lasted from 1969 to 1970. In 1971, with an updated line-up, they changed their name to Sunset Field. In 1978 Ron moved to Elwood, KS and the band added a St. Joe area guitarist and changed the band name to Swift Kik.
Ron's influences range from heroes he had growing up to more modern guitar greats such as John Fogerty, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Alex Liefson, Tommi Iommi, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Johnson, & Ted Nugent, just to name a few.
